- The State Duma will consider complaints about unilateral changes in the terms of service provision by banks

The State Duma (DG) will study cases of unilateral changes by banks to the original terms of the service agreement. This was announced on May 7 by Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin.
In particular, he noted that in this way there is an introduction or increase in fees for withdrawals, an increase in service fees, as well as an increase in interest rates on credit products.
"The federal law clearly defines: banks cannot unilaterally worsen the conditions originally stipulated in the contract. <...> In this regard, for our part, we will definitely study the law enforcement practice of previously adopted legislative decisions," he wrote on the Telegram channel.
It is specified that the State Duma Committee on the financial Market will deal with this problem.
Volodin stressed that banks are required to disclose all conditions for obtaining borrowed funds and warn about risks. According to him, banking organizations should also inform Russians as much as possible when applying for loans, concluding contracts and other services.
On May 7, Izvestia analyzed dozens of reviews from Russians in the national rating of banks from Banks.<url>" and learned that citizens complain about the unfair behavior of Alfa-Bank, Gazprombank, Ak Bars Bank and other market representatives for opaque information in contracts and attempts to profit from the inattention of customers. It turned out that banks, without the consent of customers, begin to write off the commission for paid notifications or privilege packages and shift responsibility for the consequences to the customer.
