The film "Red Silk" became the first modern Russian film to receive the "dragon Seal" for unlimited distribution in China. The beginning of the screenings of the joint Russian-Chinese project in China is scheduled for September during the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Krasny Silk was created with the participation of NMG Film Distribution, a member of the National Media Group (NMG).

"This is an important step in implementing a systematic approach that will help mutually promote the best national films and jointly create films that demonstrate the common values of the two peoples," said Svetlana Balanova, Director General of NMG.

The fact that Chinese viewers will see this film has been talked about from the very beginning. The detective action film "Red Silk" will be shown on the days when China will celebrate the 80th anniversary of the victory over Japan.

The Russian audience has already been captivated by the film, as evidenced by the high box office receipts. The plot of the film is twisted so that it could be unraveled in cinemas on both sides of the border: the communists of China, fleeing from the punitive Kuomintang, are trying to get to the congress of their party in the Moscow region. This period of the common history of the two countries is very important for the Chinese. The big political goal of the film is to bring the Chinese and Russian peoples closer together.

"This event is quite noticeable. And the fact that it was first watched in Russia, then it was watched in China. Of course, there is a lot of interest in this historical period in China," said Sinologist Sergey Mstislavsky.

"Red Silk" will be shown in China without restrictions for foreign films. It's called "getting the dragon seal" there. The filming of the project took place in two countries, and it was discussed at the highest level.

"To make a film in such a way as to get industry distribution in China is called "dragon seal". And at the same time, making this picture happen and be successful in Russia is really a very serious way," said Olga Lyubimova, Minister of Culture of Russia.

Earlier, on May 7, it was reported that the war drama about the children's concentration camp "Blood Group" will be released on May 8. The creators tried to convey all the horrors faced by the prisoners of the so-called orphanage in Nazi official documents, located in the Leningrad region during the Great Patriotic War.
