- Polyansky announced attempts by Ukrainians to disrupt the concert of the Turkish Choir

Ukraine, supported by sponsors from European countries, tried to disrupt the concert of the Turkish Choir in the UN General Assembly building in New York, but it was unsuccessful, the event went well. This was announced on May 6 by Dmitry Polyansky, Russia's first deputy Permanent Representative to the World Organization.
"The concert of the Turkish Choir in the hall of the UN General Assembly was sold out — so many people came that many simply could not get into the hall, which holds 1,800 seats. <...> And this is despite active attempts to disrupt the concert made by the Ukrainians and their European sponsors," Polyansky said in a Telegram message.
He clarified that on the eve of the event, Ukrainians "circulated a note to the UN" urging them to ignore and not attend the concert, but it did not work.
On May 6, a concert dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War was held at the UN headquarters in New York, where the Turkish Choir and the SOPRANO art group performed wartime songs. The event was also attended by veterans, high-profile diplomats from different countries and staff of the UN secretariat.
