The prosecutor's office of the city of Neryungri organized a check on the fact of a fire in the warehouse of finished products of the Neryungri processing plant. This was reported on May 7 in the press service of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
"The Neryungri Prosecutor's office has organized a check on the fact of a fire in the warehouse of finished products of the Neryungri processing plant of JSC HC Yakutugol," the agency said in a Telegram channel.
It is specified that during the inspection the circumstances of the incident will be established, the staff of the prosecutor's office will assess compliance with the requirements of legislation on industrial safety, labor protection and other issues. After that, if there are grounds, prosecutorial response measures will be taken.
In addition, based on SPARK data, in October 2024, Rostechnadzor recorded three violations at the Neryungri processing plant.
The main directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in Yakutia reported that 58 specialists and 15 pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire. The press service of the regional Ministry of Health clarified that four victims with various burns were admitted to the Neryungrinsky central district hospital, who are receiving the necessary medical care.
"A sunrise flight with a team of doctors from the Republican Center for Disaster Medicine is flying to Neryungri to provide medical care," the ministry added.
It is specified that this team will include six specialists — combat surgeons, anesthesiologists and paramedics.
On May 7, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) reported four victims of a fire at a processing plant in the Yakut city of Neryungri.
