On the eve of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (WWII) in Lugansk, the signalmen of the Center group of forces congratulated veterans and residents of besieged Leningrad.

The servicemen presented flowers and memorable gifts. A special atmosphere was created by two guitarists who performed several military songs for the soldiers right at their home. The sounds of familiar melodies touched the hearts of veterans, reminding them of their youth and military brotherhood.

"Today is actually quite a significant event. Probably one of the main ones. On the eve of the holiday, the great Victory Day holiday, the 80th anniversary of the Victory over Fascism, today my comrades and I congratulated veterans on behalf of our comrades, military personnel," said Oleg Pohaznikov, a fighter in the communications unit of the Center group of forces.

The veterans, in turn, wished the military good service and a "happy peaceful sky," and also thanked the guests for their attention and care. Special wishes were expressed to the participants of the special military operation — the veterans wished them a speedy victory.

During the congratulations, the military personnel were helped by cadets of the local Republican Cossack Cadet Corps, who marched under the windows of the veterans, giving them a military greeting.

On May 6, military personnel of the Novosibirsk Missile Unit, on the eve of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (WWII), organized a solemn action in the Gvardeysky microdistrict of Novosibirsk, during which they congratulated veterans on the holiday.
