Media reported retaliatory missile strikes by Pakistan after Indian attacks

Pakistan launched retaliatory actions after the attacks by the Indian Armed Forces (AF). This was reported on May 7 by the Pakistani Samaa TV channel, citing sources.
"The cowards tried to strike from the shadows. India attacked in the dark, but our response will be stronger and louder. <...> Come to us on the battlefield if you have the courage, and then let's solve this issue like a man," the TV channel quoted Pakistani Defense Minister Khawaja Asif as saying.
It was clarified that loud explosions were also heard in the area of the Pakistani city of Muridke. According to preliminary information, at least three explosions occurred there.
The channel also reported that Pakistan had temporarily closed its airspace for 48 hours, while suspending all domestic and international flights at all airports in the country. Passengers were advised not to come to the airport and return home. The Civil Aviation Authority clarified that normal flights will resume after the situation stabilizes.
In addition, Samaa, citing sources in Pakistan's security services, said that the country's air force shot down three Indian Air Force fighter jets, including two Rafale aircraft.
On May 7, the Indian Armed forces launched Operation Sindoor, during which they have already carried out nine targeted strikes against the terrorist infrastructure of Pakistan and its occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The Indian Ministry of Defense stressed that the country has demonstrated considerable restraint in choosing goals and methods of their implementation.
