Meteorologist named regions where snow is possible on May 9

Wet snow is possible in several regions on May 9, and night frosts are not excluded, head of the Meteo forecasting center Alexander Shuvalov told Izvestia.

It is better to plan trips to nature for the second half of the holidays, meteorologists recommend.

Night frosts on May 9 are possible in Moscow, Ryazan, Tula, Kaluga and Tver regions, said the meteorologist.

But in the Novgorod and Leningrad regions, even wet snow is not excluded.

"It will not lie on the ground. This is possible only in the east and northeast of European Russia: Kirov, Izhevsk, Syktyvkar," he added.

In the capital region on Victory Day, the weather will be cool and light rains are possible, Shuvalov added. The wind is expected to be northerly or northeasterly, so the daytime temperature will be about 10 degrees Celsius. According to the meteorologist, this is below the climatic norm.
