The Immortal Regiment campaign was held in the capital of Cyprus


On May 6, the Immortal Regiment campaign dedicated to Victory Day was held in Nicosia, the capital of Cyprus. The event was attended by several hundred people, including Russian citizens, embassy staff, schoolchildren and local residents.
The column was led by the Russian Ambassador to Cyprus, Murat Zyazikov, who carried a photograph of his grandfather, Magomet Zyazikov, who defended the Ingush town of Malgobek, one of the most important borders of the North Caucasus, from Nazi invaders during the war.
The protesters carried a huge replica of the Victory Banner through the streets of the city, as well as a long St. George ribbon. The event featured wartime songs performed by the Nizhny Novgorod Provincial Orchestra, whose musicians arrived in Cyprus specifically for the event.
Representatives of the Popular Front movement brought a piece of Eternal Flame to Nicosia.
On May 6, the patriotic action "Immortal Regiment", dedicated to Victory Day, was held in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. More than 450 people took part in it. The action took place on the territory of the Academy of Fire Safety of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam. The organizers were the Russian Embassy, the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo and the Vietnamese-Russian Friendship Society.
