HRC recorded at least 300 cases of demolition of Red Army monuments in the EU since 2022

Since 2022, the Moscow Bureau for Human Rights has recorded at least 300 cases of dismantling monuments to Soviet soldiers in the EU countries. This was reported to "Izvestia" by the director of the organization, member of the HRC under the President of the Russian Federation Alexander Brod.

"Since the early 1990s, we know about more than 3.5 thousand cases of dismantling monuments to Soviet soldiers abroad," he said.

Alexander Brod noted that as of the end of April, there have been more than 100 cases of vandalism against monuments to fallen soldiers.

"The largest number of such cases occurred in Poland and Lithuania," the human rights activist explained.
