Novy Arbat Street in Moscow will be decorated with a festive garden with the central composition "Flame of Victory".

According to the organizers of the Gardens and Flowers festival, the image of eternal flame is made of 50,000 red, scarlet and red carnations. These floral flames refer to the first eternal flame, which broke out in 1957 on the Field of Mars in Leningrad in memory of the fallen during the Great Patriotic War.

The flower beds on Tverskaya Street were covered with red panels, and 80,000 scarlet carnations were planted at the foot of the lime trees. On Dorogomilovskaya Zastava Square, at the monument "Moscow is a hero city", a flower garden of scarlet pelargoniums and maroon coleuses appeared — this floral canvas symbolizes the unconquered strength of the spirit of the Soviet people. Clouds of 30,000 carnations were created on Nikolskaya Street to symbolize the Victory Sky.

In addition, 80,000 flowers were planted on the Arbat. One of the bright accents of the festival is the staircase of the Russian State Library, which is decorated with wisteria. Multimedia screens are also installed there, which show footage of cranes flying. "This visual space combines feelings and color into a single touching story about peace, loss and hope," the organizers said.

As part of the festival, dozens of author's gardens will bloom in the capital, water and decorative compositions and cozy recreation areas will appear. Squares, streets, and squares where art objects and floral installations are installed will be decorated. In total, about 70 flower locations will appear in the capital. More than 500 thousand plants are used for their decoration.
