Andrei Volgin's joint Russian-Chinese film "Red Silk" will be released in China in September 2025. The detective action was presented to the Russian audience in February of this year, it has already collected almost 700 million rubles.

The creators of the film will officially announce the release of the film in China at the forum "The Light of the World and New Historical Frontiers", organized jointly by the Media Corporation of China and the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company. The event will be held on May 7 on the occasion of the official visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Russia.

"Red Silk" opens a new page in the history of cooperation between Russia and China in the field of cinema. This is an important step in the implementation of a systematic approach that will help mutually promote the best national films and jointly create films that demonstrate the common values of the two peoples. And it is especially symbolic that the film will be released in China in September this year, when President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin plans to visit China in connection with the 80th anniversary of the victory over Japanese militarism and the end of World War II," said Svetlana Balanova, Director General of NMG.

The film's distributor is NMG Kinoprokat (part of the National Media Group holding). Produced by Nota Bene Film Group and NMG.

On April 14, Russian Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova reported that "Red Silk" became the most successful detective story at the Russian box office, collecting almost 700 million rubles. She pointed out that Chinese distributors have become interested in Russian cinema, noting an increase in the level of audiovisual graphics and scripts.
