Obtaining permanent funding for the modernization of the Air Force's nuclear capabilities The United States is a top priority for the Pentagon. This was announced on May 6 by the Chief of Staff of the American Air Force, David Alvin.

"Our investments in the modernization of nuclear forces remain a top priority," he said, speaking at a hearing in the U.S. House of Representatives.

As Alvin noted, his ministry is currently facing a number of tasks related to the renovation and development of military equipment. Work is currently underway to modernize the F-15 and F-35 fighter jets, as well as the B-52 strategic bombers, he added.

In addition, American developers are faced with the task of creating a sixth-generation F-47 fighter, said the Chief of Staff of the US Air Force.

On March 21, US President Donald Trump spoke for the first time about the development of a new generation fighter jet. According to him, the tests were conducted secretly for five years. The head of the White House said during his speech that the F-47 would demonstrate maneuverability and unsurpassability.
