Trump called Russian hockey player Alexander Ovechkin a "tough nut to crack"

On May 6, US President Donald Trump called Alexander Ovechkin, a Russian striker for the Washington Capitals hockey club, a "tough nut to crack" and a good guy.
"The Capitals have a very, very good hockey player. A big, tough nut to crack, he just broke a record, and he's a great guy," Trump said at a meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney at the White House.
Ovechkin scored his 895th goal in the NHL regular season on April 6 in a match against the New York Islanders, breaking Wayne Gretzky's record of 894 goals scored.
During the gala evening in honor of his sniper record in the regular championships of the National Hockey League (NHL), the Russian striker was presented with a kid. The gift was presented to the athlete by his long-time teammate, Swede Niklas Backstrom. He was also presented with a gold hockey stick and a premium watch.
