Cinematographer Igor Kozhevnikov died at the age of 66.

Member of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia, cinematographer Igor Kozhevnikov died on May 5. This was announced on May 6 by the Union of Cinematographers of Russia.

"On May 5, 2025, at the age of 67, our friend and colleague, cinematographer, director of Photography, member of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia Igor Viktorovich Kozhevnikov, passed away," the Telegram channel says.

Igor Kozhevnikov was born in Penza on October 29, 1958. In 1988, he graduated from the cinematography department of VGIK (workshop of cinematographer Alexander Galperin).

Kozhevnikov's filmography includes about 30 films. He has shot films and TV series in Israel, Brazil, the Czech Republic, Cyprus, India, France, Turkey, Egypt, Germany, Switzerland.

In addition, the cameraman has worked with such directors as Alexander Hwang ("The Witch", "Cleopatra", "Shatun", "Carmen", "Proposed Circumstances"), Oleg Fisenko ("If the bride is a Witch"), Alexander Kazansky ("How Steel was Tempered"), Sergey Zhigunov ("Three the Musketeers").
