Almost 200 people suffered from tick bites in the Amur region

Over the past week, 186 people have suffered from tick bites in the Amur region. This is reported by IA PriamurMedia with reference to information from Rospotrebnadzor.
150 pests were received for research in the laboratory. One tick turned out to be a carrier of encephalitis, and five more were carriers of borreliosis. Five ticks suffered rickettsiosis.
The first pests were noticed in the Amur region at the end of March. 16 out of 28 administrative territories of the region are endemic.
Doctors remind us that the incubation period for some tick-borne infections is up to a month. Even if you feel well, it is recommended to monitor your health after a bite and consult a doctor at the slightest suspicion.
