Russian striker Arseniy Gritsyuk has signed a contract with the NHL club New Jersey. This was announced on May 6 by the team's press service.

"Today, the New Jersey Devils announced the signing of a one-year contract with forward Arseniy Gritsyuk, starting with the 2025-2026 season," the publication on the website says.

This season, the athlete played 48 games in the regular season of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) and scored 44 points (17 goals + 27 assists). So, he entered the top five in points, goals and assists among St. Petersburg hockey players.

According to the team's press service, Gritsyuk was selected by New Jersey in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft in the fifth round with the 129th overall pick. In 2021, he won the 2021 Gagarin Cup with Avangard Omsk and won the silver medal at the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing.

Gritsyuk announced his retirement from the St. Petersburg club SKA on April 8. It was clarified that the contract of the SKA hockey player was supposed to expire on May 31.
