Lukashenko warns other countries against attacking Belarus

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that any forces that invaded the country's territory would receive a response. He announced this on May 6.

"God forbid someone else's boot steps across the border of Belarus — the response will be lightning fast," he is quoted as saying in the Telegram channel of the BelTA news agency.

It is specified that he made this statement at a solemn meeting dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War.

On April 11, the First Deputy Minister of Defense of Belarus, Major General Pavel Muraveyko, announced that fortified areas were being created in the republic as part of the development of the defense system. Muraveyko clarified that as such fortified areas are being created, Belarus is practicing modern actions.
