- The Ministry of Finance has not received applications from foreign companies to return to the Russian Federation

The Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation has not yet received applications for return from foreign companies that left Russia. Anton Siluanov, the head of the department, told reporters about this at a briefing on May 6.
The minister stressed that, in general, the government is interested in business returning, as the influx of foreign capital will lead to an improvement in the climate and competition in the country. In addition, there were brands that left and left the opportunity to return.
Siluanov pointed out that the final requirements for enterprises that want to return have not yet been formed. The condition remains relevant, according to which foreign firms should not return to the detriment of the business that occupied their niches and managed to develop their enterprises.
"We plan to consider such cases within the framework of industry groups, and if there are specific situations, we plan to consider them at our subcommittee," Anton Siluanov clarified.
Earlier, on April 29, it became known that foreign investors who left Russia and signed an option (repurchase of shares in the future) with domestic partners may be prohibited from returning shares of the company. The next day, the Financial Times newspaper wrote that foreign companies were turning to lawyers en masse to find out if they could return to the Russian market.
