The Interior Ministry told about five pretexts of scammers to lure the code from the "State Services"

To obtain the authorization code for "Public Services", fraudsters use pretexts related to marketplaces, public utilities, and medical organizations. This was announced on May 6 by the press service of the Department for the Organization of combating the illegal use of information and communication technologies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

Marketplaces and delivery services are in the first place in the anti-rating of pretexts used by scammers to lure out the code. First, the attackers report the parcel, and then they require proof of identity to transfer the shipment to the courier.

In addition, scammers can inform about the change of the intercom in the entrance, and to receive the keys, they can offer to link them to a phone number and dictate the code. Another excuse is to make an appointment with a doctor. To confirm their identity, the scammers require you to dictate the code from the SMS.

It is reported that such schemes can also be used allegedly on behalf of the Russian Post or educational organizations.

Earlier, on April 17, the UBK of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia announced a method of hacking an account on Gosuslugi using the screen demonstration function. The attackers call the victims, ask them to register on a specific resource and offer to turn on a screen demonstration. As a result, scammers gain access to personal data.
