Modernization of the Kolos stadium has started in Lokna in the Pskov region

Modernization of the only public stadium "Kolos" has begun in Lokna, Pskov region. This is reported by the regional government.

The stands are currently being dismantled at the facility. According to the Pskov news feed, their wooden elements have fallen into disrepair, and iron and concrete structures in some places pose a danger to visitors. The locker rooms, coaching and refereeing rooms also need to be updated.

"Everything will be made to our order. We also have one of the best natural clearings in the area. We are constantly participating in the championships. After we examined the condition of the stands, we came to the decision that it would be cheaper and easier to demolish them and build new ones," the newspaper quotes the head of the municipal district Ivan Belugin.

The Kolos Stadium was opened in 1993 and has never been completely renovated since. It is planned to complete the renovation before the Village Day, which Loknya celebrates in August.
