The Foreign Ministry pointed to the risk of escalation of the conflict in Ukraine due to the supply of weapons by the West.

The continued supply of weapons to Ukraine is delaying the prospects for a settlement of the conflict. Such actions, on the contrary, lead to escalation. This was stated on May 6 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, answering a question from Izvestia.

"The continued supply of weapons to the Kiev regime delays the prospects for a settlement and leads to an escalation of the situation, to murder, well, that's who supplies the Kiev regime, apparently, they take care of the citizens of Ukraine, since they also kill the citizens of Ukraine with these supplies," Zakharova said.
