Russians named the most comfortable cities for young people

Among the Russians surveyed, 63% called St. Petersburg the most attractive for young people, while Moscow received 62% of the vote by a small margin. This is stated in the results of the study of the service "Work.<url>", which were reviewed by Izvestia on May 7.

Kazan took the third place with an indicator of 41%, confirming the status of one of the most popular youth centers in Russia. Yekaterinburg and Sochi shared the fourth position, gaining 28% of the votes of the respondents each. Nizhny Novgorod follows them with 21%, ahead of Krasnodar and Novosibirsk, which showed the same result in 20%. Vladivostok scored 16%, and Krasnoyarsk — 13%. Rostov-on-Don closes the list with 12% of the votes.

The key factor in the attractiveness of cities for young people turned out to be employment and career opportunities, which were noted by 76% of respondents. Developed infrastructure plays an important role for 68% of the respondents. 57% of the survey participants named a wide range of places for leisure, events and entertainment as a significant advantage, while 47% of respondents noted a high level of education at universities.

At the same time, decent salaries for young professionals are important for 36%. 34% of respondents voted for the presence of a large youth environment, and 31% appreciated the opportunity to maintain a balance between study, work and personal life. The respondents also noted the presence of student dormitories (17%), good ecology (14%), low living costs and affordable housing (9%).

Earlier, on April 22, it was reported that among the Russians surveyed, almost half (49%) gave priority to Moscow in workaholism — the capital is traditionally associated with a dynamic rhythm of life and high competition. This is stated in the results of a study of the services "Work.<url>" and "Part-time job". St. Petersburg took the second place (25%), Novosibirsk took the third (14%).
