Sanaa International Airport in Yemen has been disabled as a result of strikes carried out by the Israeli Air Force. This was announced on May 6 by the press service of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

"Recently, the Air Force attacked and destroyed the infrastructure of the Houthi terrorist organization at the central airport in the Sanaa area, which brought it to a complete standstill," the IDF said in a Telegram channel.

They clarified that the strikes were carried out purposefully, in compliance with all possible precautions, in order to minimize damage to the civilian population and their property.

On May 5, the United States and Israel launched joint strikes on the Yemeni city of Hodeidah, which is controlled by the Houthis from the Ansar Allah movement. It is specified that six airstrikes were carried out on the port of Hodeidah, as well as on targets in the Bajil area. Airstrikes were also carried out on a cement plant in the province of Hodeidah.
