Deputy Mayor Sergunina spoke about the Victory Day program in Moscow

Festivals, exhibitions, performances by artists, master classes, excursions and lectures will be held in Moscow on the occasion of the upcoming Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War. The events of the festive program from May 8 to 11 will be held on city streets, boulevards, parks, museums, libraries, cultural centers, at VDNH and at the Moskino Film Park, said Deputy Mayor Natalia Sergunina.

"Events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory are waiting for residents and guests of the capital all over the city. Come and listen to concerts, watch films about our heroes and historical reconstructions, thank veterans and congratulate each other on this important holiday for all generations," said Sergunina.

In particular, the Moscow Victory Spring Festival is timed to coincide with the anniversary. It includes readings of frontline poems and letters, theatrical performances, dance marathons and sporting events. During cooking classes, you can practice cooking kulesh, cabbage soup, pasta in the navy and other dishes of field cuisine.

Pavilions of the Moscow Helps project have been opened at the sites, where gifts are collected for participants of the special military operation (SVO) and children from new regions of Russia.

A thematic festival with performances, exhibitions and quests is being held at VDNH in the historical park "Russia — My Story" (Pavilion No. 57). Participants of sightseeing tours of the territory will learn about the exploits of the country's heroes and get acquainted with the special project "Museum of the SVO". And the Cosmonautics and Aviation Center will tell about the achievements of Soviet engineers and designers. There will also be workshops for children, where they can make nightlights in the form of a star, the symbol of the Red Army, with their own hands.

A number of historical reconstructions will take place at the Moskino Film Park on May 9. One of the main ones will reproduce the Victory Day Parade of 1945. Marching bands and military equipment will march through the territory, accompanied by an orchestra. Creative classes, quests and interactive events will also be held for visitors to the film park.
