In Buryatia, two teenagers and a man held a pensioner captive

In the village of Khamney in the Republic of Buryatia, two teenagers and a man held a 64-year-old local resident captive. This was reported on May 6 by a source of Izvestia.
He clarified that the pensioner was held in his own house on the night of May 1. The source noted that violence was also used against the victim.
Currently, the suspects have already been detained. A criminal case has been opened on this fact under Part 2 of Article 127 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Unlawful deprivation of liberty committed by a group of persons"). The circumstances of the incident are being established.
On April 11, it became known about the detention of three Novokuznetsk residents for the illegal detention and use of slave labor of nine people. It was clarified that the victims were held in the basement of one of the houses on Sosnovskaya Street from 2012 to April 2025.
On the same day, the Novokuznetsk court refused to arrest the persons named by the investigation and chose a preventive measure for them in the form of a ban on certain actions. However, the investigating authorities re-filed a petition to the Central District Court for the arrest of the men involved after new episodes of crimes were revealed.
