Qatar's Foreign Ministry called the Emir's visit to Moscow important for Doha

The recent visit of Qatar's Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to Moscow is important for Doha. This was announced on May 6 by the adviser to the Prime Minister, the official representative of the Emirate's Foreign Ministry, Majid bin Mohammed al-Ansari.

"The visit of His Highness the Emir to Moscow is very important for Qatar," he said, answering a question from TASS.

According to him, the dialogue with the Russian Federation has helped to strengthen mutual understanding between the parties on various regional issues.

On the Middle East side: Putin called Qatar one of Russia's priority partners

The President noted Doha's efforts to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and discussed with the Emir assistance to the Syrian people.

Qatar's Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani arrived in Russia on an official visit on April 17. During the meeting with him, Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed that Doha is Moscow's key partner in the Middle East.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Qatar sincerely supports the development of bilateral trade and economic cooperation with Russia. He added that the country plays an important role in both international and regional affairs.
