Peskov called oil prices an important factor for the Russian economy and budget.

International oil prices are a significant factor for the formation of the budget and the functioning of the Russian economy. This was announced on May 6 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov at a briefing.
"Russia, as you know, has been working in the OPEC+ format for a long time to maintain prices at an optimal level. Excessively high prices and very low prices, of course, adversely affect the global economy as a whole," he said.
The press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation also noted that Russia is very closely monitoring the international situation, but oil prices "cannot affect Russia's relationship to its national interests."
