The official website has published the business program of the Russian-Chinese Forum (RCF), which will be held on May 19-20 in Khabarovsk under the motto "Bolshoy Ussuriysky: cooperation in the joint development of the island." It will include more than 20 thematic sessions. The operator of the Forum is the Roscongress Foundation.

"The People's Republic of China is a strategic partner of Russia. Today, Chinese entrepreneurs are among the most active foreign investors implementing investment projects in the Far Eastern regions. Currently, there are 59 such projects in the territories of advanced development and in the free port of Vladivostok with a total investment of more than 1 trillion rubles. Our countries have connected two cross-border bridges across the Amur River. Another successful joint project may be the general development of Bolshoy Ussuriysky Island," said Yuri Trutnev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District.

The Forum is expected to gather more than a thousand participants. Among them are representatives of federal and regional executive authorities, senators, deputies of various levels, entrepreneurs, leading experts and scientists from the Far East and China. They will discuss cooperation in such areas as industry, investment, transport, tourism, trade, ecology, as well as building intercultural communication and youth interaction.

"The stability of dialogue and mutual trust at the highest level, which Russia and China demonstrate, are of particular value against the background of turbulence in world politics. The upcoming forum in Khabarovsk is of strategic importance. It organically integrates into a multi-level communication system and helps strengthen the comprehensive partnership between Moscow and Beijing. Mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries is consistently developing, and trade relations and interregional contacts are expanding. The prospects for the implementation of joint projects, the specifics of the Chinese market and the steps necessary to remove barriers in business community relations will be the topics of discussion at the Forum. I am convinced that the projects that will appear at the Forum will have great potential and reflect the countries' desire for creativity and harmony," said Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation.

One of the main topics of the Forum is the development of the territory of Bolshoy Ussuriysky Island. The participants will analyze the prospects for launching a year-round automobile cargo and passenger checkpoint, as well as the formation of an international transport corridor that will connect Russian and Chinese highways. Special attention will be paid to the resumption of cargo navigation along the Amur River and other projects aimed at creating a single transport and logistics hub.

The key event will be the plenary session "Russia and China: Joining forces for common Prosperity." It will discuss the state and prospects of the strategic partnership between the two countries, the role of twinning relations at the regional level, the situation of border regions, the vector of small business development and other issues.

We have planned B2B negotiations for entrepreneurs from nine regions of Russia and five provinces of China. There will also be a Russia-China business dialogue and other events aimed at strengthening business ties. I am confident that the result of this work will be real projects that will have a direct impact on the development of the Khabarovsk Territory," said Igor Pavlov, First Deputy Director of the Roscongress Foundation and Director of the Eastern Economic Forum.
