Soviet counterintelligence officers performed unimaginable feats during the Great Patriotic War. On May 6, actress Lyanka Gryu told Izvestia. She played the role of German Marika Werner in the detective series SMERSH 3, dedicated to Soviet counterintelligence, which will premiere on May 8 on REN TV.

The multi—part film is based on a true story: a secret Nazi plan to eliminate the main figures of the USSR, Generalissimo Joseph Stalin and Marshal Georgy Zhukov, which was thwarted by the national intelligence service. The Nazis prepared carefully and had several backup options. However, our scouts emerged victorious from these spy missions.

"These are people who have accomplished the impossible. There is no need to convince anyone of anything, because there were such facts and events that just need to be told. They are already making an indelible impression," said Gru.
