A resident of Magadan is accused of stealing jewelry worth 1 million rubles from his mother-in-law. This was announced on May 6 by the MIA Media portal.

A 48-year-old resident of the city contacted the police department, claiming that gold jewelry was missing from her apartment. Earrings, rings, bracelets and chains disappeared from the house. The criminal investigation department found that a relative of the victim, her son—in-law, who had free access to housing, was involved in the theft.

"A criminal case has been opened under Part 4 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Theft"). The investigation is currently ongoing, and the issue of choosing a preventive measure for the suspect is being resolved," the portal's Telegram channel clarified.

In Stavropol, on April 10, attackers blew up an ATM with 4 million rubles in one of the shopping centers, and two suspects were detained.
