An Mi-8 helicopter with 22 passengers made an emergency landing in Chukotka


An Mi–8 helicopter carrying 22 passengers on the Markovo -Anadyr flight made an emergency landing in the Chukotka Autonomous Region. This was reported on May 6 in the press service of the Far Eastern Transport Prosecutor's Office.
"According to preliminary data, an oil pressure drop sensor went off on board the Mi-8 aircraft flying from Markovo to Anadyr in the Chukotka Autonomous Region today. <...> At 12:07 (03:07 Moscow time. The board landed safely in Anadyr, there were no casualties, no damage to the vessel was recorded," the press service said in a Telegram channel.
It is clarified that after the sensor was triggered, the helicopter command decided to turn off one of the engines. Upon the incident, the prosecutor's office organized an inspection to establish compliance with the requirements of flight safety legislation.
On April 10, a passenger plane en route from Moscow to Denpasar, Indonesia, landed urgently at Sheremetyevo Airport in the capital. According to Aeroflot, the commander of the aircraft on this flight decided to return to the departure airport due to the activation of an indication of the operation of one of the aircraft's systems.
