- The Telegraph learned about Britain's development of a plan in case of war with the Russian Federation
In the UK, by decision of Prime Minister Starmer, the war plan has been updated, which has been guided since 2005. The instructions have been supplemented with new points regarding a possible conflict with Russia. The Telegraph newspaper wrote about this on May 5.
The publication noted that the plan will outline a strategy for the first days after the attack on the UK by a hostile foreign state. The document containing information about the specifics of protecting the Cabinet of Ministers and the royal family, as well as public broadcasting, will be classified.
"The plan will tell the Prime Minister and Cabinet how to run the government during wartime and when they will need to use the bunker in Downing Street or outside London," the statement said.
On May 5, it became known that British, Finnish and Swedish soldiers will be conducting military exercises in Finnish Lapland from May 12 to 31. The purpose of joint combat training, as stated on the website of the Finnish Land Forces, will be to practice the joint use of fire weapons by the alliance in a territory with a northern climate.
