A member of an extremist group that was preparing a drone attack on the Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant (BelNPP) has been detained and taken to Belarus. This was announced on May 5 by the state TV channel Belarus 1.
"Pavel Belyutin, another member of the extremist group, has been brought in, he is known as part of the so-called Vilnius Banner. Their goal is to invade Belarus," the article says.
It is specified that Belyutin received military training and participated in opposition protests in 2020 after the presidential election in Belarus.
According to Konstantin Bychek, head of the investigative department of the KGB of Belarus, the delivery of an extremist to the country is "the culmination of a foreign intelligence operation that lasted 732 days."
In addition, according to the TV channel, Vasily Grechikho, who went to work in Poland in February 2022 and joined the Kastus Kalinovsky Regiment (recognized as a terrorist organization in Belarus), which unites Belarusians participating in hostilities on the side of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), was also brought to the territory of Belarus.).
According to Grechikho, the purpose of this organization is to change power in Belarus by military means.
