In the Lipetsk region, two people died when a car hit workers.

On the highway in the Zadonsky district of the Lipetsk region, a car hit a group of road workers, killing two people. This was reported on May 5 in the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the region.

"On May 5, at approximately 18:00 on the 436th km of the toll section of the M-4 Don highway, the 53-year-old driver of a Dodge car hit a barrier fence that restricts the place of road work and a group of workers," the message posted on the VKontakte social network said.

As a result of the accident, workers born in 1982 and 1988 were killed on the spot, and another was hospitalized. It is specified that the driver and passenger of the transport were not injured.

At the moment, law enforcement officers are determining the causes of the accident.
