Rapper Sean Combs, known under the pseudonym P. Diddy, arrived at court for jury selection in a criminal case in which he is accused of organizing human trafficking for sexual exploitation. This was reported by the Reuters news agency on May 5.

"He arrived at court from a federal prison in Brooklyn <...> wearing dark glasses and a dark sweater over a white shirt. He smiled and hugged his lawyers as he entered the courtroom of U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian," the publication says.

According to the newspaper, U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian will begin questioning potential jury candidates one at a time to form a panel of 12 people. It is specified that the selection of anonymous jurors will be completed by the end of the week.

The agency notes that the court proceedings will last two months in total.

Earlier, on February 5, The Guardian newspaper reported on new lawsuits filed against P. Diddy, which were accused of sexual harassment. One of the cases involved a man whom Combs forced into sexual acts between 2007 and 2012. In addition, lawsuits were also filed by two women who claimed that they were drugged and raped at parties organized by P. Diddy in the 1990s.

On September 17, 2024, rapper P. Diddy was taken into custody in New York by court order. Then it was clarified that in 2023, P. Diddy's ex-girlfriend accused him of human trafficking and years of violence. Combs was also charged with prostitution and human trafficking on the day of his arrest.
