Putin has decided to establish a national center for sports medicine

Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree on the establishment of the national Center for Sports Medicine in Russia. The relevant document was published on May 5 on the official Internet portal of legal information.

"In order to comprehensively develop sports medicine in the Russian Federation, strengthen the health of Russian athletes and increase the effectiveness of their medical and biological care, I decree <...> to establish the Federal Scientific and Clinical Center for Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency on the basis of the federal state budgetary institution," the decree says.
