When renting a country house for the summer season, it is important to consider not only the cost, but also comfort, safety and infrastructure. Olga Pavlinova, director of the rental department of the federal company Etagi, told Izvestia on May 8.
"First of all, it is necessary to assess transport accessibility and determine the minimum set of amenities, because the rental price depends on it," the specialist noted.
According to her, the best option is houses in developed cottage settlements near reservoirs. Such options are more expensive, but comfort and proximity to infrastructure often justify the cost.
It is also important to clarify whether the site has been treated for ticks and whether there is insurance in case of unforeseen situations. It is better to fix all agreements with the landlord in the contract, especially liability in case of force majeure.
According to the expert, before signing the documents, it is worth checking the availability of stable cellular communications and the Internet and possible power outages.
"After the May holidays, when demand decreases, it is possible to bargain more actively, especially when renting for the whole season. The main thing is never to rent a house remotely, always inspect it personally," Pavlinova summed up.
