In 2025, Russia plans to harvest 2.1 million tons of fruits and berries, despite two waves of spring frosts. This was announced on May 5 by the Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Oksana Lut.

"The damage is relatively small compared to last year," TASS quoted her as saying.

She said that this year gardeners faced two waves of frosts, the first was in late March and early April, and the second in early May. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, in some farms it is possible to reduce the yield by 10-15%, but this will not prevent the achievement of targets.

Lut stressed that it is planned to harvest 2.1 million tons of fruits and berries this year. This is more than last year's figure, which amounted to 1.9 million tons.

On April 15, farmers reported the risk of losing up to 40% of the fruit harvest in southern Russia due to frosts. We are talking, in particular, about the Krasnodar and Stavropol territories, the Crimea, the Bryansk region and some other regions.
