A pregnant refugee was found unconscious on the border of Belarus and Latvia

Belarusian border guards found a foreign woman unconscious on the border with Latvia. This was announced on May 5 by the State Border Committee of Belarus.

"On the afternoon of May 4, Belarusian border guards found a foreign woman near the Latvian border fence in the Braslav district. An African—looking girl was lying unconscious on the ground," the agency said in a message on its Telegram channel.

It is specified that the documents and mobile phone were not found on the girl during the examination. In addition, she had a bruise on her face. Law enforcement officers provided first aid and called an ambulance.

During the examination, doctors found that the refugee had bilateral pneumonia and severe sepsis. It was also established that the foreigner is in the 28th week of pregnancy. Her nationality is still unknown.

Earlier, on April 12, border guards found the body of a refugee on the border with Latvia in the Vitebsk region. At the same time, the deceased did not have any documents. However, among his personal belongings, food products were identified with the label of the country of origin - Latvia.
