Western countries are discussing the possibility of transferring additional Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine. This was reported on May 5 by the Reuters news agency, citing sources.

Kiev's allies plan to reach an agreement on the supply of missile systems before the NATO summit in June.

It is specified that the United States and Greece are among the potential suppliers of air defense systems.

The day before, The New York Times reported that Ukraine could receive the Patriot air defense system, which was previously based in Israel. According to the publication, Kiev may receive several installations from other countries. The newspaper stressed that any Patriot shipments require the approval of the United States, even if they are transferred through other countries.
