A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. The "Center" group was able to improve its position on the front edge. According to the Ministry of Defense, its units destroyed up to 465 soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), a tank, four armored combat vehicles, six vehicles and four guns in a day. At the same time, the Vostok group advanced into the depths of the enemy's defenses.

"Units of the North group of forces defeated concentrations of manpower and equipment of the mechanized, tank, and jaeger brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and two air defense brigades in the areas of Sadki, Ryasnoye, Velikaya Pisarevka, Sumy region, and Granov, Kharkiv region," the ministry said.

The air defense forces also inflicted losses on the enemy. According to the Ministry of Defense, Russian anti-aircraft gunners destroyed four JDAM guided aerial bombs, four HIMARS multiple rocket launchers manufactured in the United States, as well as 123 Ukrainian aircraft-type drones.

In addition, tactical aircraft, drones, rocket troops and artillery hit the infrastructure facilities of the AFU military airfield, an aircraft repair facility, ammunition depots and temporary deployment points of Ukrainian militants and mercenaries in 142 districts.

Since the beginning of the special military operation, 662 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 55,452 unmanned aerial vehicles, 605 anti-aircraft missile systems, 23,153 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,558 multiple rocket launchers, 24,435 field artillery guns and mortars, 35,005 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
