RT hosted a screening of the legendary movie "Cranes are Flying" in Jakarta

The film directed by Mikhail Kalatozov was presented with subtitles in Indonesian. They were prepared by journalists from the local RT office.
The screening was attended by Russian Ambassador to Indonesia Sergey Tolchenov, groups of local youth organizations, journalists and influencers.

The RT project "Common Victory" is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the end of the Great Patriotic War. The idea is that together with the countries of the Global South that did not directly participate in the fighting against Nazi Germany, we can celebrate Victory Day.

As part of the project, events will be held in ten countries, including India, China, South Africa, and others. Information banners with images of veterans from these countries who fought alongside Soviet soldiers will be placed on the streets of Delhi, Shanghai, Nanjing and other cities, thanking them for their common victory. In the same countries, we will organize a screening and discussion of the film "Cranes are Flying". The next screening is scheduled for May 6 in the capital of Tanzania, Dodoma.
