Forest rehabilitation works have begun in the Moscow region

Harvesting of illiquid wood from forests has begun in the Moscow region. The works will cover an area of 310 hectares, the press service of the regional forestry committee reports.
Old, fallen trees are being removed in order to improve the forests. Trunks and branches are sawn and stacked in woodpiles for further rotting, writes the online publication Podmoskovye Segodnya.
This week, work will be carried out in Vinogradovsky, Yegoryevsky, Borodinsky, Dmitrovsky, Podolsk, Noginsky, Lukhovitsky and other forestry districts.
Earlier it was reported that in the Moscow region, forest patrol routes were approved for 2025. This will make it possible to protect forests, detect fires in a timely manner and prevent violations by citizens.
