Fish processing plant to be built near Nakhodka

A new fish processing plant will be built near Nakhodka. The project is being implemented by Dobroflot, one of the country's largest producers of canned fish, using the investment quota mechanism. The capacity of the enterprise will be 120 tons of products per day.
Dobroflot already has its own onshore production of pollock fillets and semi-finished fish products in Primorye and in the western part of the country, PlrimaMedia news agency clarifies.
Yuzhmorrybflot JSC will handle the project as a resident of the Free Port of Vladivostok. In accordance with the agreement with the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, 3.1 billion rubles will be invested in the construction.
The company is scheduled to be commissioned in the third quarter of 2026. The plant will have areas for the production of fillets and minced pollock. The waste will be processed in the fishmeal and fat workshop.
At the end of April, it was reported that against the background of a general increase in unemployment, which began in 2025, it continued to fall in some regions — in the Volga region and the Far East. This follows from the data of the Central Bank. In February, the indicator fell in the Far East (from 2.2% to 2.1%) and in the Volga-Vyatka region (from 1.7% to 1.6%). At the same time, the overall unemployment rate in the country began to rise this year for the first time since 2023.
