Representatives of European countries are behaving indecently, refusing to attend commemorative events on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Victory. This was announced on May 5 by the Deputy Speaker of the Slovak Parliament, Tibor Gaspar.

According to him, all diplomats of the European Union (EU), as well as the ambassadors of the Russian Federation, were invited to Slovakia in April of the year, when the country celebrated the anniversary of the liberation of Bratislava.

"At the same time, several EU diplomats refused to take part in the celebration, which I consider undiplomatic and indecent <...> in connection with such an important event as the victory over fascism 80 years ago," Gaspar told TASS.

On the eve of one of the organizers of the Immortal Regiment action in France, Dmitry de Koshko, said that French residents were outraged that Russia was not invited to events on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War. In his opinion, European countries often do not want to remember that it was thanks to the peoples of the Soviet Union that Europe "did not become Nazi."
