The German authorities, who have recognized the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party as extremist, make decisions concerning only their country, and Russia does not interfere in the internal affairs of other states. This was announced on May 5 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

"This is an internal matter of Germany and we have neither the right nor the intention to interfere in it," the press secretary of the head of state said at a briefing.
