Military personnel from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), who participated in the liberation of the Kursk region, continue to practice at Russian training grounds. On May 5, combat training personnel appeared at the disposal of Izvestia.

Mandatory elements of the training of all DPRK military personnel are hand—to-hand combat and the use of cold weapons. At the same time, North Korean soldiers and officers improve their skills on their own.

On April 30, the head of the KDNR military delegation, Lieutenant General Pak Yong Il, speaking at the III International Anti-Fascist Congress, called the liberation of the Kursk region from the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) a victory over pure evil. According to him, this event is a new stage in history, which demonstrated the strong cooperation between the Russian Federation and the DPRK.

On April 28, Russian President Vladimir Putin thanked the special forces soldiers of the Korean People's Army who took part in the defeat of the AFU group in the Kursk region. At the same time, the Central Telegraphic Agency of the DPRK reported that special forces from the republic were sent to participate in hostilities in the Russian Federation by decision of the country's chairman Kim Jong-un. According to the agency, the Korean side will continue to support the "sacred cause of the Russian army and people."
