Residents of the Ishim district of the Tyumen region spoke about flood control

Local services of the Ishim district of the Tyumen region are trying to preserve the road near the village of Bolshoy Ostrov due to rising water levels. Local residents told Izvestia about this on May 5.
According to them, they have been facing such a difficult situation for the second year in a row.
"We have to get out of it <...> easier this year, by the way, because it turns out that the road near the Big Island is being filled out and the passage is being saved for us," a local resident said.
She added that there is a regular bus along this road, and thanks to this, many people can return to their homes.
"We hope that in two days our water will start to go down," the man added.
The governor of the Tyumen Region, Alexander Moore, said on May 3 that the water level in the Ishim River, located in the Tyumen region, increased by 38 cm during the day and reached 872 cm. He also noted that the situation is under control.
On April 30, Moore reported that a state of emergency (emergency) had been introduced in the Tyumen Region due to flooding in five settlements of the Kazan and Abatsky districts. He noted that residents of settlements where a regional emergency regime will be established will be able to apply for one-time financial assistance.
