The premiere of the spy drama "On the Trail of the Beast" took place in Moscow
The premiere of the first episodes of the new military historical series "On the Trail of the Beast", dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory, took place in Moscow.
The spy drama, based on declassified documents, was created as part of the Revived War Stories project organized by the Internet Development Institute.
The first private screening aroused great interest — there were so many people who wanted to see the series that there were not enough seats in the hall.
"My nephew came to the premiere with me today, he's my godson, he's my son, and I'm sure he'll like it. A Russian person always lives by pride and memory. It's just hardwired into our code," said actress Evgenia Malakhova.
The plot of the series is dedicated to the fight against German saboteurs in the Soviet rear. It was created on the basis of previously unknown facts revealed as a result of studying archival documents.
"I must note the high level of qualifications of colleagues from the Institute of Internet Development, creative producers and editors. Having appreciated our script highly in the first form, they made a great contribution to bringing it to the final result," said producer Alexander Starikov.
The film received an emotional response from the first audience.
"It's a very strong picture, very difficult, and I sincerely hope that this series will be watched by both young people my age and younger guys. When you see what your peers are doing on the screen and what they are doing for their country to protect their homeland, it touches you to the core," Daria shared.
The creators of the Revived War Stories project strive to tell about the fates of ordinary Soviet people who brought victory closer not only at the front, but also in the rear — in factories, scientific institutes, fields and design bureaus.
Earlier, on May 2, the actor of Operation Carpathians 2, Evgeny Sidikhin, spoke about working with the director of the second season. The plot of the new part is based on the Bandera underground. According to the actor, the second season will become more dramatic, with chases and shootouts remaining.
The creators of the series told the details of the sequel on May 4. The main events will take place in the west of Ukraine. A Soviet intelligence officer engages in a dangerous battle with Bandera, who are trying to provoke a popular uprising. However, it later turns out that he has other opponents.
