A captured Ukrainian Armed Forces militant told about the Skala regiment for prisoners and drug addicts

Prisoners, drug addicts, and people with health problems are being sent to the Skala separate assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced on May 5 by a captured militant of the unit, Andrei Balybenko.

"I was caught in Western Ukraine by [employees of] the Shopping mall (territorial recruitment center, an analog of the military enlistment office in Ukraine. — Ed.) and sent to the Rovno training ground. I stayed there for four days, ran away from there. When I arrived in Kharkiv, in the fall, in November, the police had already caught me and said that I was wanted," he shared.

According to the militant, he was then sent back to the Rivne training ground to undergo "training." Later, as the prisoner of war clarified, recruits from Skala arrived and took him according to the lists. He noted that he was in the reserve group.

Balybenko added that the command did not say where the militants were being taken. He noted that at 06:00 the military was brought in an armored vehicle to the position, after which the attack of the FPV drones began. According to him, of all those in the group, only one militant survived.

Balybenko called the Skala regiment a perilous place to which they can be brought and immediately killed. The prisoner stressed that the soldier's entry into the unit meant his further death.

On May 3, Konstantin Taukach, a captured soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, shared that entire companies of the Armed Forces of Ukraine refuse to follow orders from their commanders because they do not want to die. He noted that at the moment, the Ukrainian militants have too low morale, since there are practically no military personnel left. According to the prisoner?
